Ansaar's Sports & Funday events have been a huge success over the years. The events bring together many different communities from all walks of life across North Kirklees and the surrounding areas. Our funday's have become a major community event in the calendar. Please note this years date's on your calendar to ensure that you do not miss out on the fun. We look forward to seeing you there.

• In partnership with Kirkless Council we organised the first Youth Conference in 2008
• We have organised day trips for young people to the Lake District, Heights of Abraham and London
• In 2009 we supported the first Kurdish New Year Celebration Event at Birkdale High School
• We helped to support and organise the first annual Bosnian Supplementary School celebration dinner
• Helped raise awareness of issues around human rights in our community, i.e. Palestinian Conference following the war in Gaza in January 2009
• Raised funds for a national cancer charity, Dewsbury Hospital and Interpal.
• Taken groups of youngsters on local evening events like meals out
• Helped to collect Quraan's for distribution in Gambia in association with Caravan of Mercy. http://caravanofmercy.org/
• We have supported martial arts classes for women
• In association with Saffar Project we offered support for Muslim female prisoners
• Provided stewards for the Dewsbury 10k every year
• We have an ongoing range of activities during Ramadhan including a sleepover at the local mosque for young people
